How do i save MSN Emoticons onto my computer?
Navigate MSN Emotions to find the emoticon you want to save. Right click on the emotion and select "Save Picture As...". Now you may change the file name or location on your computer before clicking "Save" again to save onto your computer.

How do I install emoticons into my MSN Messenger?
Using new MSN emotions is easy and here is one way of installing an emotion for use with msn messenger:

  1. Save one of our MSN Emotions onto your computer.
  2. Open MSN messenger.
  3. Click Tools > Create Emoticons...
  4. Click Add... Click Find Image...
  5. Locate the emotion you saved in step 1 and select it. Click Open
  6. Give a keyboard shortcut - its advisable not to use single characters or words, eg, dont use 's' because every time you have a word with s in it your emotion will display instead of the letter.
  7. Finally you can name the emoticon if you want. Now Click Ok to complete.
Note: Not all versions of MSN Messenger support emoticons (emotions expressed as icons), backgrounds, or display pictures. The current version of messenger is: MSN Messenger 6.1 we recomment that you keep your MSN Messenger up-to-date in order to take advantage of emotions, backgrounds, display pictures and other features avaliable in the newest versions.

Why can i only use 5 custom emoticons in MSN Messenger?
MSN Messenger 6.1 only supports 5 custom emoticons per message sent. This is most likely because of upload and download requirements between users when using custom emoticons. As the recipient(s) do not have the emoticon on their computer MSN Messenger automatically sends it to them, when sending a large number of emoticons it would no doubt slow down message transfer.

What about other messenger programs like Yahoo! Messenger?
We currently serve MSN Emotions, but that doesn't mean that the images cannot be used with Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, or ICQ - simply that we dont have the technical support for those programs. Check out our links page for details using emoticons on other instant message programs.
